Heather is leading us to Kielder to break the ice at a bikers’ gathering place. This is a café close to the biker meeting point marked on the Lidl’s waterproof maps. Details will be sent out soon but current thinking changes the start point to Jedburgh, collecting Ron at Bonchester Bridge and then a ramble through Kielder Forest. Timings have to be worked out to get us to the café for lunchtime.

This is a mystery ride to north of the Forth. David is asking us to gather in the square in Kelso from 08:30 to depart at 09:00. He will lead us at road ‘legal speeds’ (slow manoeuvring for some) to the A7 and Dobbie’s Garden Centre EH18 1AZ. This is the second rider collection point 09:45 and then on to Tesco’s at South Queensferry for 10:15. From here we go over the Forth Road Bridge and disappear into the mists of Fife.

We are confident the gospel will be clearly presented at Torque through the music and personal testimony so be assured this event sets it’s main objective as evangelizing men.
There will be Christian books on sale, mobile coffee van, pakora van and mission stalls.
The event kicks off again with a mass ride out from Glasgow to Irvine.
Our partners this year include Operation Mobilisation, Christian Men Together, MAD Ministries, Central Evangelical Church and Christian Motorcycle Association.
We are extremely grateful to The Bridge Church in Irvine for offering us the use of their superb venue.
All proceeds from the event will go towards mission and men’s ministry.
Here is the line up this year;

Philippa Hanna, young british singer songwriter www.philippahanna.co.uk
Steph MacLeod from Edinburgh, amazing testimony www.blog.stephmacleod.com

Ken plans to LEAVE the car park, on the A72 at the west end of Peebles, at 930am. Then to continue on the A72 to Biggar then the A702 to Abington. This should only take about 30 mins, even on a BMW, and would be a good point to collect riders from the Northwest. The tone of his route continues in this style so it would be a great ride to take part in, even on a BMW!

As you may have guessed, this is the branch's long weekend away. We are now booked into the same hotel as last year. The Millcroft, at Gairloch, are looking forward to seeing us again. Perhaps this year we can take full advantage of the long hours of daylight with an extended ride. Another option is to take a thorough look at the eastern side of Scotland.
