The CMA and the Church

The CMA is not a substitute for the Church, we are an extension of it reaching out into the world of motorcyclists, whether outlaw biker, the touring motorcyclist, the youngster on a 50cc or 100cc bike, or the racing motorcyclist. Our objective is to see them all come to know Christ and then go on to an active life within a local Church.

We encourage all our members to be actively involved in their own local Church and expect them to have the support of their Minister/Pastor in the work they do with us. It is our hope that the Church supports and sends out CMA workers in their ministry to motorcyclists.

We have found members from many different Christian denominations can work well within the CMA bonded together by the love of Jesus, a desire to do His will and an enjoyment of motorcycling.

Our work takes us into a sub-culture, the world of motorcyclists or bikers; people with different views who are often shunned or treated as outcasts. These are the people we work with in our ministry. We need your prayers.

We also need your recognition. How many in your Church are bikers? Would you welome and encourage bikers into your Church? Sadly many do not, thus a whole section of society does not know Jesus. We have found that after the initial shock "bikers" are often accepted and welcomed, filling a vital slot in the Church. We are willing to visit Churches, to share about our work and sometimes take services in the hope of helping people to accept and encourage any bikers who may come in.

It is vital to our ministry that your members know about us - we need your prayer cover for our work, perhaps a small article in the Church magazine? Is there a group of bikers in your area that you want to reach? Perhaps we can help...
