Farmyard Rally: rescheduled to September - Help Required

Dear All,

I hope and pray you are all well in health and in spirit.

I have been informed by Pete Walker that the Farmyard Rally has officially moved from the original date in June to the weekend of 25-26-27 of September 2020. However, this all depends on the Covid circumstances and what restrictions/plans are laid down by our Government at that time. Pete would like us to consider this as a definite booking and for that reason, may I ask you to prayerfully consider supporting this event please.

Could you kindly let me know if you had volunteered and can attend those new dates instead of June and also, if you haven’t volunteered yet and feel called to, would you also let me know as soon as you can. Thank you.

I had sent an email out previously with the information I require to staff our lovely Holy Joes at this event - please look at that (below) for the information YOU AND I need if you are going to volunteer.

ARE YOU CALLED TO HELP?

May I ask you to prayerfully consider volunteering to help at this event again this year if you have volunteered in the past, and if you haven’t volunteered before but feel called to add to a brilliant and hard working team, we welcome you too….

You’ve prayed - God has called you to come - that’s great! Heres what to do:

1. REGISTER WITH SANDY FOR MY SHIFTS (CMA PLANNING)

Kindly provide me with the following details (7 points - all important) as soon as possible please via email to: sandyfitton@icloud.com

1. Name (full name please)
2. Branch
3. Contact telephone number - mobile would be best
4. Day and time arriving and leaving the site - BIKE OR CAR?
5. Shifts you are able to do - MAG OR HOLY JOES (to qualify for free entry you need to complete at least 3 x 4 hour shifts) - SEE TABLE WITH ROTA TIMINGS BELOW
6. If you are happy for your name to be shared with others as I send out the rota - IMPORTANT FOR GDPR
7. If you are happy to be added to a WhatsApp group - this is so we can prepare and share prior, during and after the event. - IMPORTANT FOR GDPR

It would help me enormously if you could let me know sooner rather than later, and then I can get the rota filled in and sent out in good time for you to agree/change it before the event.
I look forward to serving alongside you again if you have marshalled at Farmyard before and, if you haven’t been before, to work alongside you for the first time.

2. REGISTER WITH MAG FOR MY SHIFTS

BEFORE YOU BEGIN - you can only register for Farmyard Party duties when Registration opens - when you do this, please make sure you state you are CMA and if you are MAG shifts and/or HOLY JOES shifts
The Registration for Farmyard - I will let you know nearer to the time for registration date opening

Follow their prompts (see below for info) and if you have any problems get in touch with Carol or Jayne at marshals@mapevents.co.uk
Please remember to register as soon as you can after registration opens - there is also a cut off date usually a few weeks before the Rally is due to commence.


3. REGISTER AS A RETURNING MARSHAL:

When you visit the web page there are some headers at the top of the page in grey. If you are a returning marshal, then you need to click on Marshal an Event. This then opens a new page and you need to click on Farmyard 2020. The logon page should be there for you to put in your username (which should be your email address) and your password. If you have forgotten your password, then you can reset it from the grey header Get Help on the homepage.
After you successfully put in your username and password your form with all your details in should now be visible and you need to fill in the rest of the form with your information of how many shifts you would like etc. Please do not forget to press submit after you have filled in your form. Once you hit the submit button the screen can appear to be blank, but if you scroll up to the top of the page you should see a message confirming your form has been submitted and that you will receive a confirmation email. If you do NOT receive this email, please get in touch with Carol or Jayne at marshals@mapevents.co.uk as this means your form has not been submitted correctly and they will do their best to help you complete the form.

You can go back into your form at any time before the closing date to amend it. Again, please press the update button and you will receive a confirmation email every time you do this.

3. REGISTER AS A NEW MARSHAL:

If you are a new marshal, then you need to Register first from the grey headers on the homepage of the above website (you can do this now) and then WHEN THE FARMYARD PARTY REGISTER OPENS follow the instruction above to Marshal an Event. You should receive 2 confirmation emails from the 2 forms you have filled in. Please get in touch with Carol or Jayne at marshals@mapevents.co.uk if you do not receive either of these.

Thank you in advance to all of you thinking of joining us for Farmyard. I know we keep repeating it, but without you all putting in your hard work we wouldn’t be able to hold our events.

4. T-SHIRTS
If you do 2 or more shifts you qualify for a free T-shirt. Please let MAG know your size and whether you want a male/female fit T-shirt. Thank you.

5. TRAVELLING BY CAR
We try to encourage the CMA volunteers to travel by bike but if you need a car pass for this event then please email Pete Walker at pwalker@mapevents.co.uk
Pete emails all car passes to those who have requested one in the week before the event so please wait for this before you email him again as he does not reply to car pass requests until he needs to issue them.

6. MARSHAL PACKAGE

There has also been a slight change to your marshal package this year. Whereas last year for your first shift you received a refillable water bottle, this year, if you bring your own bottle to collect your first shift tokens, you will receive a drinks voucher alongside your food voucher. If you do not have your own bottle, then you will receive a water bottle and a food voucher. The bottles are a good standard bottle and not the same foldable bottle we gave you last year, but more of a traditional drinking water bottle.


ROTA (please note that the grey & green cells do not require anyone in those times - all the rest do) - THIS TABLE IS FOR YOU TO SEE THE TIMINGS OF THE MAG AND HOLY JOES SHIFTS SO YOU CAN INFORM ME WHICH ONES YOU CAN DO - I WILL DO MY BEST TO PUT YOU IN THE ONES YOU REQUEST. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU WOULD BE WILLING TO HELP WITH SET UP AND PACK DOWN - WE ALWAYS NEED HELP THEN XX
